BIOGRAPHY

Zach Resnick is a performer, arranger, and composer that and a graduate of Oberlin College and Conservatory with degrees in Jazz Composition and Politics. He is currently based in Amman, Jordan working with local groups including Tareq Al Nasser's Rum Ensemble. As a native New Yorker, he has performed at local venues including The Bitter End, The Knitting Factory, The Metropolitan Room, and Fat Cat. He has also performed at venues in the Middle East including Shablul, Beit Hamudim, and Levontin 7 in Tel Aviv, Beit Aneeseh and the Jenin Freedom Theater in the West Bank, and The Roman Amphitheater in Amman.

In the summer of 2013, he founded and led the Yafo Harmony initiative, teaching music to underprivileged Israeli and Palestinian youth as a vehicle for social change. He has shared the stage with creative artists such as Jason Linder, Jamey Haddad, Alon Yavnai, Ingrid Jensen, Andre Mahmari, and Stefano Battaglia.
